Deep Night Season 9: Greg Hildreth

Dale proves once again that there’s no people like show people, in this delightful conversation with New York-based actor, Greg Hildreth. Greg grew up serenading woodland creatures in Boston, before honing his craft and making his way to the Great White Way. He’s lent his considerable talents to roles in acclaimed productions like Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Cinderella. The two discuss what it’s like to be in a Broadway musical that closes prematurely; how one prepares to do eight shows a week; the beauty in being the perfect sidekick; and what’s really going on with bodega coffee bags. This is an episode about finding ones comedic voice in the theatrical realm. As an added bonus, the show features short clips of Greg performing and a few stories from Dale’s time marching in and out of protests.

The next DEEP NIGHT live is happening Weds, February 22nd at 8pm at The Slipper Room in NYC. Join Dale and his guests Michelle Buteau, Daniel Kibblesmith, Vinny DePonto, and Sandy Honig. With music from theremin maestro, Cornelius Loy. Tickets at $10/$12 and available now. An unforgettable evening of regrets and revelations that the AV Club calls, “a must listen for anyone interested in the art of comedy”.
