Dale Radio Season 8: David F. Walker

dr8davidwalkerpost

Dale constructs a new identity for himself and the podcast using nothing but spare tin, empty liquor bottles, and a handful of ethernet cables found behind a boarded-up Radio Shack. This extra jumbo season 8 premiere episode of Dale Radio finds Dale in conversation with comic book writer, filmmaker, and cultural observer David F. Walker. Dale sets up some of the things to expect this season (and celebrates a certain rodent celebrity with a love of pizza), and then he and David get into a wide ranging discussion on race, popular culture, comic books, and the character Cyborg. Lots and lots about Cyborg.

This episode also features a short audio character portrait at the top of the show from Chicago’s Juliana Brecher. Follow Juliana on twitter @heart_brecher. Thanks to Jenny Fine for the new podcast icon and to Chris Shockwave Sullivan for the new take on the theme song. This episode also features closing music from Steve O’Reilly. Oh, and Dale is sure Julianne Moore is a lovely person. For more on David Walker visit his website: BadAzzMoFo.com.
